LEADERSHIP MANUAL
This Leadership Manual is provided as an easy resource for members of Units, Conferences, and the Executive Board to use as a reference and guide as we engage in ministry and action. Included in the manual is a collection of plans, policies, and forms. As a Board, we have continued to work conscientiously to offer you a tool that will provide you with guidance and direction for questions that may arise. We have worked to provide the most current information available, but realize we may have missed something. If you have suggestions or feedback on how this tool can be more helpful, please let us know. We also encourage you to contact a board member or conference leader to assist with any questions you may have. (Updated 7/2021)
LOVE OFFERING
The Love Offering Focus for the Florida-Bahamas Synodical Women's Organization (SWO) is made biennially by the Executive Board. Applicants can be nominated by any member of an active congregational unit.

Application process:
Complete the application and focus question. Provide references and any supporting documentation that may help the board in the decision-making process.

LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF
Thank you to all who contributed to our collection efforts this year and to those churches that have acted as collection centers. When the Women of ELCA act together we can accomplish much. Click here to see the LWR 2023 Summary that includes each congregation's contributions. ​

NOMINATION FORMS
There are many opportunities for women to represent their congregations and conferences within the state and national synodical organizations. Some positions require documents be submitted as part of the selection process.
​
Voting Member Credential Registration Form for the Fall Gathering (writable PDF). This form must be submitted to the conference registrar no later than October 15.
​
Triennial Voting Member Nomination Form (writable PDF). Use this form to nominate an eligible woman to attend the Triennial Convention as a voting member. Voting members will receive a travel and expense allowance.

TAPESTRY
Tapestry is the newsletter of the Florida-Bahamas Synodical Women’s Organization of the ELCA. It contains the latest information about the synodical board, churchwide, programs, and events within our organization. Click here to request an email copy. GATHER
Gather is the official magazine of the Women of the ELCA. The magazine contains the women's Bible study, as well as faith-in-life articles, theological reflections, devotions, global mission articles, and human-interest stories. CAFÉ
Café is an on-line magazine with stories written by bold young women about faith, relationships, advocacy and more. Readers and writers of Café include pastors, seminary and college students, and other young adult women who use Café as a Bible study resource individually or with a group. Although many women in their 20s and 30s contribute in every issue, Café can be used and shared by women of all ages.
